Danielle Hutchens
Danielle Hutchens is a freelance pattern maker in NYC. She has worked in the industry for over twenty years and has experience making patterns with well known designers. She has been involved in crafting patterns for multiple runway shows since the 90s. She drapes and drafts flat patterns, as well as having the knowledge to work with designers that are extremely technical, or with designers who are more conceptual. Danielle is also flexible to work with. She can work from detailed or not so detailed sketches, actual vintage garments that start as concepts, or components of a few ideas to make one piece.
Danielle worked with Randolph Duke in the 90s draping red carpet gowns for celebrities and private clients. Following that experience, she made development runway and production patterns for seven years with Reem Acra and Rebecca Taylor. She has also worked full time with Adam Lippes, Raven, and Alexander Wang.
In 2010, Danielle became a freelance consultant for a variety of clients such as: Daniel Feld- Kymerah, Augden, Pret a Surf, Veronica Beard, Rebecca Minkoff, Timo Weiland, Whit, Monika Chiang, Nirco Castillo, Daniel Vosovic, Kaufmanfranco, Laila Azhar, Proenza Schouler, and Kaelen.
